This market-leading UK firm with a well established presence in Asia is currently seeking a mid to senior level construction lawyer to join its thriving Beijing office. In this direct client facing role you will be responsible for advising international project sponsors and financiers, as well as Chinese and Japanese construction and engineering groups on construction and commercial contracts across a wide range of industries, including energy, mining/ resources and petrochemicals. You will be given a high degree of autonomy and responsibility for drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents (including EPC contracts, procurement contracts, construction management contracts, offtake and supply agreements) in English and Chinese, while supervising and leading teams. You will have 3 to 7 years of PQE and have trained at a top international firm. China construction experience and renewables experience would be an advantage. You will be qualified in a commonwealth jurisdiction or in the US or PRC and possess excellent client relationship management skills and the ability to run transactions and teams with minimal supervision. Fluency in English and Chinese is required and the ability to negotiate and document deals in Chinese.
