We have two prestigious US firms who are recruiting in corporate M&A and private equity funds that are offering a fantastic position for an excellent associate who is based in Hong Kong, or abroad and wanting to move to Hong Kong.
With one firm you would be working with a really dynamic partnership group, where the impetus is really on working on the leading corporate and private equity deals in the market, across Asia. They are very well thought of, and would be the top firm for strong associates wanting to work in M&A rather than capital markets. This is one of the first times this year we have had M&A and private equity opportunities opposed to IPO's and capital markets. The market will be more focused on M&A next year as well. Asian language skills are brilliant however, not essential for these opportunties.
You will work in an environment which is very client facing, at a junior level you will go to pitches and working very closely with the partners and become a pivotal part of growing the firm and the team. You will be working with a group of very intellectual and outstanding associates from all around the world and this really is a place where they are making up partners and expanding their business faster than others.
You will need:
v Strong academic background
v Worked for a leading International or US firm on M&A and private equity deals
v Have had high levels of responsibility and client exposure
The funds market is also growing out here and is extremely competitive and due to this a number of firm are recruiting in this space. One firm has an opportunity for a junior associate with funds experience to join their very exciting platform. They just specialise in everything to do with funds and again you would be working for very inspiring partners as well as having high amounts of exposure to clients. Although the area is specialised the work you do is very broad and the deals you will work on will cover many jurisdictions including China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan and Australia.
