This US law firm is looking for a midlevel to senior associate to join their Global Finance group in Asia. You will have a broad based finance background in English law. You will have been trained and currently be working at a reputable firm and have excellent technical skills. Experience in bank lending work is desired. Apart from a high level of fluency in written and spoken English, good command of written Chinese is required and strong Mandarin skill is preferred. This firm is currently paying US rates to its associates and has one of the most comprehensive benefits packages in the industry.
This prestigious US law firm boasts a well-established Corporate practice with impressive capabilities and equally notable partners and fee earners recognized in the industry. With 5 offices and more than 140 legal professionals in Asia alone, they are well placed to provide exposure to a variety of complex and sophisticated matters throughout the region. Their clientele also consists of multinational corporations and international banks including Bank of China, BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, J.P. Morgan, Fujitsu and Toyota, just to name a few.
The firm is looking for an English and Mandarin-capable associate who is Hong Kong qualified. The successful candidate will also be a mid-level associate with a solid academic and legal practice background. Experience in corporate finance at an international law firm is key; having worked at a Magic or Silver Circle firm is preferred.
The role is with the firm’s dedicated Private Equity practice and is a rare opportunity for a mid-level associate who wants to diversify from a capital markets practice and specialise in private equity investments by public companies.
